Youth Soccer Instructor - Non-Competitive

Super Soccer Stars of Contra Costa County is seeking a friendly and energetic Soccer Coach for children ages 1-5.
As the premier youth soccer program in the country, we use soccer as a vehicle to help children develop self-confidence, physical literacy, gross motor skills, and socialization skills in a fun, non-competitive, educational environment.
Our best-in-class curriculum uses positive reinforcement and a low child-to-coach ratio to make sure each child feels confident in their own abilities, allowing kids to improve at their own rate.
We are expanding our footprint in the East Bay, and this is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children, wants a flexible schedule and top pay with a career path.
Our ideal candidate has prior experience working with children as a sports coach, teacher, nanny, or camp counselor.
This position is excellent for someone who has an interest in pursuing early childhood education or child development.
Responsibilities Assist our lead coaches in providing a fun and engaging soccer program to children ages 1-5.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants in each class.
Utilize our curriculum to promote physical activity, teamwork, and positive reinforcement.
Build rapport with parents and caregivers as a point of contact in each class.
Help create a positive, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all participants and families.
Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities provided by Super Soccer Stars.
Assist with equipment management and set-up before and after each class.
ScheduleThe majority of classes are held during the after school hours and on weekends.
Classes are held across schools, parks, and recreational centers.

Requirements Experience working with young children in a group setting is preferred.
Must have availability to work flexible hours, including some weekday mornings and weekends.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage children and parents.
Knowledge or experience in soccer is preferred but not required.
Comfortable working in an active, fast-paced environment while promoting physical activity.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be able to pass a background check.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
