Seeking Part-time/Full-time Legal Assistant who has experience in a law firm setting (criminal defense and Plaintiff's personal injury.
) The candidate must have excellent communication skills, be able to take initiative, work independently, and possess strong computer skills.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
-Accurately manage attorney's calendar and client files (electronic and physical), answer phones -Professionally communicate as necessary with clients, potential clients, courts/agencies, attorneys, and vendors -Create and edit documents in Word and Excel -Collect client retainers and payments -Legal experience preferred -Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook- Knowledge of litigation support program Smokeball a plus -Strong grammar, proof-reading, and punctuation skills -Detail oriented, strong organizational and administrative skills, comfortable working under pressure and team player -Dependable, strong work ethic, positive & friendly attitude -College degree preferred.
Fluency is Spanish is plus, but not required.
Compensation $25.
00 to $35.
00/hour, based on skills and experience.
