RF Design Engineer - 56972

RF Design Engineer contractor is needed to provide support to our wireless telecommunications client in Walnut Creek, CA.
Requirements:
RF is responsible for contributing to the RF design and performance of the regional wireless voice and data network with a specific focus on distributed antenna systems Creating search areas within their geographic area of responsibility
Identifying in building needs within the region
Working with the performance team to understand the area and issues being addressed by the in building system
Help design a system to improve network KPI's
RF modeling in Atoll, creating RF data sheet for DAS projects
Performing walk testing to evaluate building locations as necessary
Preparing FCC/FAA and regulatory submissions in a timely manner
Evaluating coverage problems and requirements for DAS projects
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2
years of experience in RF design and system performance
General understanding and or working knowledge in one or more of the following platforms and/or technologies:
Voice cells infrastructure including: Lucent, Motorola, and Ericsson
Experience designing indoor systems, large venue DAS, small cells and outdoor DAS systems for LTE and CDMA with industry OEM's like Solid, Teko, Commscope, Mobile Access/Corning
Experience with industry standard applications including: Atoll, Siterra, iBwave, benchmark testing applications like XCAL, DataPro, JDSU; Google Earth Pro, ESRI ArcMap, and/or MapInfo; proficiency in MS Office applications
Ability to work with a team, provide and take direction from peers and peer organizations a must, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience requiredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
