Stable Large Insurance company in the East Bay Seeks an Accounting Clerk to handle all facets of accounting.

SUMMARYResponsible for posting accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, cash receipts and collections.
Processes accounts payable checks and maintains spreadsheets for month-end close.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProcesses routine monthly billing;Performs regular accounts payable data entry, generates and distributes checks;Generates client invoices and monitors open receivables;Posts and deposits accounts receivable transactions;Performs routine follow-up and accounts receivable collections;Monitors, tracks and processes COBRA payments;Maintains spreadsheets to track various accounting functions for month-end close;Assists with monthly reforecasting;Prepares and delivers reporting for management;Notifies management of any accounting irregularities;Assists management in general ledger reconciliation;Handles expense processing per department requirements;Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information);Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION / EXPERIENCEAssociates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience1 - 3 years of related work experienceSKILLSGood verbal and written communication skillsExcellent attention to detailGood planning, organizational and prioritization skillsBasic knowledge of accounting termsAbility to work within a team and to foster teamworkProficient in Microsoft Office products, including pivot tables, filters and formulasProficient in EPIC is a plusProficient in Quickbooks is a plus.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
